Two Injured In Head-On, Wrong-Way Saw Mill Parkway Crash Involving Drunk Driver

An allegedly drunk driver was involved in a head-on crash while driving the wrong way on the Saw Mill River Parkway, injuring another driver, police said.

Officers from the Westchester County Police Department responded to the parkway near Grand Street in Pleasantville at approximately 1:15 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14 after the allegedly drunk motorist's Honda Civic struck a BMW, police said.

Both drivers were removed from their vehicles following the crash and were transported to local hospitals for treatments on serious injuries.

The driver of the Civic is expected to be charged with driving while intoxicated, third-degree assault and reckless endangerment. He will be taken into custody when he is released from the hospital.
